Apple has yet to confirm but persistent rumors pointed to a likely iPhone 6C release date on March 2016, alongside the next-generation Apple Watch 2. While everything about the handset remains in the speculation zone, recently leaked details on the device strongly suggest of high-end specifications that should prod consumers to seriously consider a buy.
According to Apple Insider, here are the five reasons the iPhone 6C will make a good buy:
Beautiful and solid
Citing Chinese blog site My Drivers as source, Apple Insider reported that like its predecessors the 6C is another iPhone masterpiece in terms of build and design. While the device is being touted as Apple's relatively cheaper smartphone, the materials reportedly used in manufacturing it are mainly composed of glass and metal. The iPhone 6C will not be encased in plastic, which was the case of the iPhone 5C, but instead beautifully wrapped in melded glass and aluminum.
Most likely, the 4-inch 6C is the scaled down version of the iPhone 6S.
Beastly computing prowess
Beyond the aesthetics, Apple also made sure that the iPhone 6C is beastly device on its own, if the same blog report is to be believed. The 6C entrails is said to be dominated by the powerful pack of A9 mobile processing chip that can count on the ample support of up to 2GB of RAM. It should be noted that the same chip tandem is responsible for powering up Apple's 2015 flagship - the iPhone 6S.
NFC chip
And part of the iPhone 6C connectivity features is an NFC chip that ensures that smaller of the new iPhone models fully support Apple Pay, which should be a big plus for Apple fans deep into the iOS payment system.
Decent battery life
The My Drivers also claimed that the iPhone 6C will deploy with a 1642mAh battery pack. While not exactly the biggest to unbox with a phone, the 6C battery is an improvement from the 1570mAh found on the iPhone 5S. That should translate to decent battery life or even better considering the iPhone 6C's smaller footprint.
Likely cheaper sticker price
Apple has already declared that it will not sell junk smartphones so it should be expected that the iOS 9-fired up iPhone 6C on release date will not be dirt cheap. But the device should be relatively affordable, likely selling no more than $200 for the locked version and $400 for the SIM-free package.
