T-Mobile will be soon supporting its first Windows 10 Mobile smartphone, Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL.
In the U.S., AT&T is the only carrier that is selling a Windows 10 Mobile OS powered smartphone. Currently, it is selling the recently released Microsoft Lumia 950. However, T-Mobile will soon begin supporting the Alcatel OneTouch Firece XL smartphone that is powered by Windows 10 Mobile OS, Windows Central reported.
As of this writing, it is not known when T-Mobile will start selling the OneTouch Fierce XL. MetroPCS is currently the Android edition of the same phone, Phone Arena reported. The handset is called Alcatel Fierce XL and the carrier is selling it with an off-contract price of $69 along with rebates.
There is no information available on the pricing of the Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL. However, it is unlikely to carry an expensive price tag as the smartphone is expected to arrive with midrange specs like its Android version.
The OneTouch Fierce XL will be a phablet device with a 5.5-inch display. It will carry support for HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The handset is powered by Snapdragon 219 chipset that is accompanied with 2 GB of RAM.
It features a native storage of 16 GB. It is fitted with a rear camera of 8 MP and the front panel of the handset houses a 2 MP selfie camera.
One of the renders of the Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL shows a Windows Hello screen. The Windows Hello is a feature for biometric recognition technology. Windows Central has claimed that it is unlikely that the OneTouch Fierce XL will be arriving with a biometric recognition feature.
