New "Deadpool" details will likely reveal the film's official run time, Wolverine's possible cameo appearance and an introduction the "New Mutants" film in the "X-Men" film franchise.
The Spanish website of 20th Century Fox announced that the official running time for "Deadpool" film will be at one hour and 46 minutes making it one hour short from other comic book based movies that Fox has produced, although it is six minutes longer than director Josh Trank's take in the "Fantastic Four" and three minutes longer than "Kick-Ass 2".
While several fans are speculating whether this is the legitimate time run for "Deadpool", it safe to say that the running time could be accurate and legitimate since Fox owns the Spanish website and produced "Deadpool" in the first place.
Aside from "Deadpool's" official movie run time, the spin-off will also serve as possible introduction to another X-Men team, namely the New Mutants. Several images from the lates issue of Empire Magazine showcased Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) wearing a yellow and black X-Men uniform, summarizing that she is part of the New Mutants team, Newsarama reported. The New Mutants in the comics are mutant teenagers from the Xavier Institute who are trained by Professor X to be the next generation of X-Men.
The team members include Sunspot, Karma, Mirage, Cannonball and Wolfsbane. Fox plans on expanding the "X-Men" film franchise with other projects such as "X-Force", "New Mutants" and "Gambit". "X-Men: Days of Future Past"director Bryan Singer stated that another X-Men sequel will be in the works after "X-Men: Apocalypse", possibly hinting that one these characters could be featured in the next instalment.
Lastly, there rumors making rounds that Logan/Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) could have a cameo appearance in the film as several news sources pointed out that Jackman visited the set the film, thus assuming that the feral X-Man and Deadpool will face each other in the film, the Christian Post reported.
Both Wolverine and Deadpool faced each other in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and given the poor reception of the film, Marvel fans were upset on how Wade Wilson was portrayed in the prequel. Jackman once express another confrontation with between the two as he wanted to give "justice" to the character.
"Deadpool" will be release in cinemas on Feb. 12.
