Contending squad AC Milan (8-5-4, 28 points) is set to host lowly team Bologna FC (6-10-1, 19 points) at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in San Siro this Wednesday as the team tries to extend its four-game undefeated run to open the second half of the 2015-2016 Serie A season.
Milan outpointed bottom-three team Frosinone, 4-2, in a high-scoring matchup at the Stadio Matusa last December 20, as reported by Goal.
Frosinone forward Daniel Ciofani opened the scoring at the 19th minute and was up 1-0 after the halftime break, but Siniša Mihajlović's squad scored four goals in the second half of the match to pull away with the victory.
Ignazio Abate, Carlos Bacca, Alex, and Giacomo Bonaventura each contributed a goal for I Rossoneri at the 50th, 55th, 77th, and 90th+3-minute marks respectively to pull off the four-goal haul.
Canarini forward Federico Dionisi also scored for Frosinone at the 83rd.
The win steadied Milan at the sixth spot of the overall standings.
Meanwhile, Bologna was turned back by Empoli, 2-3, at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara also on December 20, via SkySports.
Empoli's Manuel Pucciarelli struck first at the 24th minute before Bologna scored two straight to take the lead at the half, 2-1, with goals from Franco Brienza and Mattia Destro at the 36th and 45th minutes respectively.
However, Azzurri forward Massimo Maccarone scored a brace in the second half help Empoli take the win and three points over Roberto Donadoni's men and snap their two-game winning streak as well.
The predicted result is AC Milan over Bologna, 3-1. Milan starts a new winning run while handing Bologna their own losing slide.
