"Fresh Off the Boat" season 2 will exchange timeslots with "The Muppets" season 1 starting Jan. 5.
According to ABC, the Constance Wu-starrer will kick off Tuesday's comedy hour at 8 p.m.
"The Muppets" season 1 will closely follow at 8:30 p.m.
The publication claimed that this sudden shift in timeslot may indicate more good for "Fresh Off The Boat," but more harm for "The Muppets."
For one, "The Muppets" recently underwent a showrunner switch. This move could go both ways for the show.
Meanwhile, "Fresh Off The Boat" season 2 will air its 11th episode on Tuesday night.
"The Fall Ball" will focus on Eddie (Hudson Yang) attending his first school dance.
His dad Louis (Randall Park) is determined to make the event a memorable one for his first born.
According to the show's official synopsis, Jessica (Wu) will also spend some time with Grandma Huang (Lucille Soong) in an attempt to get into the latter's good side.
Jessica, is known for being thrifty, will take the risk and invest in Grandma Huang's business so she could like her more.
Unfortunately, this does not mean that Jessica's plan would work.
"Fresh Off The Boat" is inspired by the life story of Eddie Huang, a chef, writer, producer and attorney.
Huang previously wrote a book of the same title which is also used as an inspiration for the show's weekly episodes.
"Fresh Off the Boat" season 2 also stars Forrest Wheeler as Emery, Ian Chen as Evan, Paul Sheer as Mitch and Jillian Armenante as Nancy.
