The singer was seen attending the award ceremony along with Nichkhun of 2 PM K-pop boy band, BEAST and the cast members of the "Running Man." JYP was acknowledged as the most influential producer of the year for his major albums and artists that include Miss A, 2PM and Wonder Girls. After accepting his award, JYP expressed his desire to work with Chinese counterparts to take music to a different level of diversification.

There are reports that many Chinese members have been included in the group lineups of many Korean boy bands like EXO, the notorious SM Entertainment Group who were known as EXO-K and EXO-M, in Korea and China respectively after they split up. Reports also say that FNC Entertainment and YG Entertainment have also started to negotiate with the Chinese music market through reality programs for creating idols and through joint mergers of various companies.

Going by the desire of JYP, if this is going to happen, there will be more Chinese participation in Korean music. It will also mean that Chinese stars who are well established will receive more global attention.

Korea Herald reported that Nichkhun received the "Male God of the Year" award, while the "Asia Popularity" award was bagged by the BEAST.

Let's just cross our fingers on whether the dreams of Park Jin Young on more K-Pop collaborations with Chinese musicians come true or not.
