Apple may be working similarly with Sony and Samsung by implementing wireless charging in its next line-up of mobile phones.
This is according to informants discussing with Bloomberg, who affirmed that the iPhone innovator is working on "cutting edge" wireless technology.
The informants say that the upcoming iPads and iPhones can be placed further away from charging mats once the wireless charging is implemented, which is unusual for typical handsets.
Right now, Apple is innovating to overpower technical obstacles including loss of power in a distance.
An unnamed informant says that the technology may not be accessible this year, but hopefully one can view it in iPhones released in 2017.
In 2010, Apple submitted a patent for an idea to utilize the iMac as a wireless charging hub for its smaller handsets. Businesses such as MacDonald's have attempted to furnish wireless charging stations for its consumers.
There has been a great number of tech companies already building wireless charging into their handsets. Samsung Galaxy S6 released in 2015 have included this feature to juice up by putting the handset in a compatible charging mat.

This diverting technology will imply that customers may have a need for new, wireless equivalent for Apple's EarPod headphones.
