While the rumored Pokémon Z 2016 release date remains up in the air the Pokémon GO launch appears shaping up fast and a new report said that evidences are lining up for the augmented reality-centric game to come out as early as February 27.

Tech blog site Neurogadget makes a solid case on its bold prediction that the latest Pokémon iteration will make surprise drop just a few weeks from now. The report pointed to three indicators that the hotly-expected game will likely debut later this February.

20 years of Pokémon

February 27 marks the 20th year since the first Pokémon was introduced and it would seem appropriate that the milestone will also give birth to the latest flavoring of the game. Citing the seemingly regular mention by Game Freak of the imminent Pokémon anniversary each time the GO is being discussed, Neurogadget can't help to assume that something big will be given the go come the fateful day.

Now unwrapping the Pokémon GO on the same day that the gaming franchise will prove its unparalleled success makes sense. Starting another decade with a new title that is touted as a game-changer is just fitting.

Ingress Anomalies

Curiosity is also piqued by the coincidence that also on February 27 Niantic Labs will hold its Ingress Anomalies. The event is designed for the community that was spawned by the AR-focused Ingress with Niantic Labs and as Pokémon fans should know by now has a direct hand in creating the Pokémon GO.

It is a no-brainer that the occasion would be the perfect platform for the GO to commence its global rollout, that is if Niantic happens to operate on the same wavelength.

Rio

The Neurogadget report also dug out a third connection that possibly hints of the soon-to-come Pokémon GO outing. Niantic has set the Ingress Anomalies largely on Rio De Janeiro in Brazil, which is the same backdrop of the Pokémon Super Bowl Commercial.

While the link may not be clearly defined, it somehow offers a piece of the puzzle that is the Pokémon GO release date, which many fans believe is an occasion that will be followed shortly by the equally exciting Pokémon Z official revelation.
