Niantic Labs has confirmed that it present the juicy details on Pokémon GO via the GDC 2016, which kicks off March 14. Attendees of the event are also promised to get a taste of the augmented reality-centric game, which has been expected to debut alongside Pokémon Z.
As co-developer of Pokémon GO, Niantic is expected to treat the GDC audience next month on how exactly AR is implemented through the latest installment of the game series. Per the latest reports, here are the minimum expectations:
Touted as game-changer
Niantic claims that the GO arrival will redefine the mobile gaming industry. As a free download app for both iOS and Android devices, Pokémon GO is envisioned to "connect the digital world to the physical world," Game Spot reported.
Nintendo has earlier said that with the game title, the Pokémon GO Plus companion device will roll out at the same time. GO Plus is described as a wearable device that connects via Bluetooth with smartphones and tablets. And where paired with these devices the GO Plus "will flash its LED and vibrate to notify players about nearby Pokémon," the report added.
With Mons detected, players can spring into gameplay actions such as catching a hovering character.
Pokémon GO AR environment briefly explained
How the Pokémon GO is actually rendered got a preview when its creator unleashed the Pokémon Google Maps April Fools' Day prank. It was a clear representation of the things to come from both Nintendo and Niantic, iDigitalTimes said in a report.
GO will set loose "hundreds of brightly-colored monsters ... across the globe," and the resulting scenario would be the exciting interaction with all kinds of Pokémon out there and the chance to explore the world via the AR platform, the report added.

Niantic said that Pokémon GO is a solid indicator of "the next evolution of augmented reality and real-world mobile gameplay experiences." As such, the company, according to Game Spot, is committed to "bring new games to the market," of the same kind following the Pokémon GO release date, which the actual could be revealed through the GDC 2016.
