In the post-screening question and answer conference, Rauch said "as for the sex scene, you write what you know" referring to the films explicit gymnast sex scene that features a highly choreographed simulation of two gymnasts. Her husband also said the film gave them a chance to show people what they do in their bedroom.

Buckley also made a joke that "right after this, there's going to be an audition for the sex scene in the sequel."

Involving pole vaults, pirouettes and cartwheels, the scene was a constant source of amusement during the Q&A talk right after 'The Bronze" premiere at the Eccles Theater.

Brent Lang of Variety described the hotel-room sex scene as "one of the raunchiest sex sequences in movie history" while Josh Dickey of Mashable described the scene "a perfect 10."

In "The Bronze," Rauch plays a former gymnastics bronze medallist who strives to fight for her local celebrity status upon the arrival of a new young athlete.

"The Bronze" also stars Gary Cole, Haley Lu Richardson, Thomas Middleditch, Sebastian Stan, Cecily Strong, Dale Raoul, Caroline Copp Randall, Jeff Seich, Lare Roberts and Ben Rauch, among others.

Hannah Alexandria, Corrine Williams and Alicia Caple also appear in the film as gymnasts while Rod Fielder, Heidi Lewadowski and Chris Van Vliet play media men.
