Alcatel, an emerging brand name in North America, has lined up an impressive array of products for release this year. Their product roadmap includes low to mid-range smart phones and handsets such as the Alcatel One Touch 4S.
According to Venture Beat, Alcatel is the fifth largest cell phone brand in North America. It is known to offer quality products at much affordable prices than its established competitors.
Alcatel shall release two phones in fourth installment of its Idol series in May this year, which includes a 5.2-inch One Touch Idol 4 and a 5.5-inch One Touch Idol 4S.
The Alcatel One Touch Idol 4 will have a Snapdragon 617 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 13 MP primary camera, while Alcatel One Touch Idol 4S shall have a Snapdragon 652 processor, internal storage of 16 GB backed by 3GB of RAM, a 16 MP primary camera and an 8 MP front camera.
Along with two Idol phones, Alcatel is expected to release another mid-range phone - the Alcatel One Touch Pop 4 - in May and budgeted smartphone - Alcatel Pixi 4 - in April. According to GSM Specs, Alcatel shall announce the release of One Touch Pop 4 in February this year, while the Alcatel Pixi 4 was already announced in January.
One Touch Pop 4 shall have a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It shall run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and will be powered by Snapdragon 210 processor that may come in two variants. It is said that one variant shall offer internal storage up to 8 GB with 1GB of RAM while the other variant shall have a 16GB internal storage with 1.5GB of RAM.
Alcatel Pixi 4, on the other hand, will come in a 4.0-inch screen display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution at 233 ppi. It is equipped with MediaTek MT6580M chipset, 8GB ROM and 1GB of RAM. In terms of camera specs, Alcatel Pixi 4 is equipped with 5MP rear facing camera and a 2MP selfie camera.
Alcatel may also release Pop 4S, which is reportedly to be equipped with a 5.5-inch screen, internal memory of 16GB backed by 2GB of RAM and a 13MP primary camera.
