"Persona 5's" release date has been the subject of numerous rumors and controversies as Atlus intended the game to be released last year, but delayed the launch date. It was speculated that one of the reasons for its delay is that Atlus has been working on its DLC and they needed more time to polish the game. Game director Katsura Hashino state that "Persona 5" will indeed launch this year and Atlus will reveal more details for the sequel soon.

The Anime retailer shop, Animate tweeted several photos of "Persona 5" merchandises around a store in Machida, Tokyo area. This could probably a clue as to when "Persona 5" will be released in Japan since summer is already approaching this year.

This the second advertisment for "Persona 5" since the "Search for the Phantom Thieves" event back in September 2015, GearNuke reported.

In other news, it seems that nee features are being introduced in "Persona 5" as several gaming fans shared their opinions on what they want to see in the sequel.

Some of these request include crossover guest characters from the previous "Persona" games like "Persona 4's" Yu Narukami, Chie Satonaka and Naoto Shirogane or Aigis of "Persona 3" since the games are connected one another or possible throwing away several easter eggs within the sequel.

Another suggestion is to the main hero fully voiced instead of the usual silent hero types from previous titles. A very controversial move, Atlus did not bother making any voiced dialogues for their main protagonist with the exception of shouting out "Persona" during battles, Gamingbolt reported.

This could be a game changer for "Persona 5" since having he main hero talk and interact normally with other characters will give him a personality of sorts than just listening to them and being just around the background.

The sequel will also feature other activities like going to school, riding the subway, play baseball and even an in-game social media website to interact with friends.

"Persona 5" will launch in the summer 2016 in Japan and sometime in 2016 in the United States for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles.
