"Money Monster" actress Julia Roberts will produce and star in a movie based on the life of a 5-year old boy with leukemia who wanted to be Batman for one day, Reality TV World.

In 2013, Make a Wish Foundation granted the child's request and he toured areas in San Francisco, which was altered to resemble Gotham City. The kid was also able to ride in a Batmobile.  Batkid a.k.a Miles Scott suffered from leukemia sinc e he was 18 months old and is now on remission.

Robert's film is an adaptation of Dana Nachman's documentary of "Batkid Begins: The Wish Heard Around the World that is currently shown in the Slamdance Film Festival. Nachman commented that it is exciting that Roberts was inspired by the documentary that she decided to make a film. The filmmaker added that they both have the same goals in telling Scott's story all over the world, Variety reported.

In the documentary, the child's father Nick Scott said that his son's dream to become Batman is related to his perception between good and bad. According to doctors, cancer stricken kids become fighters and they "fight for life."

When the child dressed up as Batkid, a total of 20,000 people gathered in San Francicsco to watch him fight villains. Scott's younger brother wore a Robin costume and they were accompanied by Batman. At that time, Batkid saved a "damsel in distress," according to E! Online.

Scott also caught the Riddler when the villain robbed a bank. The Riddler was taken by police officers after. Other than that, Batkid also save San Francisco Giants' mascot Lou Seal who was kidnapped by the Penguin. Batman and Batkid ran after Penguin and the heroes rescued the tied up Lou Seal at AT&T Park.

After a heroic day of saving lives, Batkid received a message from the Chief of Police via the Jumbotron. The child also received the key of Gotham City from Mayor Ed Lee at the City Hall in honor of his heroic acts.

The child's life story is an inspiration to many people. As of this time, Robert's Batkid adaptation has no release date yet.
