HTC's next flagship phone 2016: HTC One M10 (Perfume) will be 'very very compelling'; Phone to feature high-end price and specs

Speaking at this year's MWC, HTC's chief financial officer Chialin Chang said that HTC's unspecified next flagship phone, the "HTC One M10," will have a "very very compelling camera experience."

According to Cnet, the Chief financial officer asserted that the company was making the comment after seeing what was going on in the market. He, however, remained tight-lipped on disclosing further details about the company's next flagship handset to an extent of not even revealing its name.

The comment was a bold statement from HTC, considering the strong competition from other flagship phones like the LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy S7. Evidently, the G5 and the S7 have come with significant improvements in features over the previous models, which were already steps ahead of HTC in camera performance.

Nevertheless, the company seems to have more excitement in store for the assumed "One M10" device. Besides other improvements, it is said that the Smartphone will come with a more superior camera so as to rival the latest Smartphone "monsters."

Renowned serial leaker Evan Blass has revealed some several possible specs. The leaks particularly point out a 12 megapixel optically stabilized camera with HTC's "ultra-pixels" otherwise known as "big" pixels.

The leaks also suggest that the HTC One M10 will sport a 5.2-inch QHD (AMOLED) display with a 2560 × 1440 resolution. The device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage with a possible expandable memory through the microSD slot.

Other special technologies expected  are Iris eye Technology, High-end multitasking, Fingerprint scanner, Wireless fast charging, Innovative light design and HTC Sense 8 UI. Besides these, the phone is prospected to come with a price tag of around $700 on the basis of it being a high-end flagship Smartphone. The official price, nevertheless, has not been announced yet.

According to HTC One M10, HTC may launch the M 10 together with other variants namely the M10 Max and the HTC One M10 Plus this year.  The date yet remains unclear with rumors indicating that an April 11 launch date is probable.

Following the lacklustre performance of the HTC M9, critics hope to see a better device with the HTC One M10.
