Matches

Stan Wawrinka vs. Gael Monfils (Starting time, 7 p.m ET): Ever since stunning Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic in two separate Grand Slam finals, Wawrinka's popularity has increased immensely as he finally stepped outside the shadow of another great Swiss - Roger Federer.

At BNP Paribas Showdown, the former French and Australian Open champion will be facing arguably ATP Tour's most entertaining player in Monfils, who has invented some of the weirdest shots tennis has ever seen. Wawrinka's world class skills-set will surely mesh up well with Monfils' showmanship, paving way for an unforgettable night at MSG.

Serena Williams vs. Caroline Wozniacki (8 p.m, 11, p.m ET): The American hasn't been competing ever since falling to Angelique Kerber in the final of the Australian Open. Luckily for her, the BNP Paribas Showdown would be a nice warm-up for her before plunging back to action at the Indian Wells this week.

Williams, one Grand Slam trophy away to tying Steffi Graf's majors record, will be taking on a quality foe in Caroline Wozniacki. Although it hasn't been a nice season for the Danish star after seeing her ranking dropped all the way to no.22, Wozniacki nevertheless has the tools to push Williams to the limit.
