"Sleepy Hollow" is rumored to be cnaelled by FOX just after three seasons.
According to TV Line, the network has not made an announcement yet regarding the fate of the show.
However, it is believed that the series will be cancelled because other TV series have already been renewed.
"With its ratings in double-digit decline, the once-hot drama is being banished to Friday nights in 2016," the publication noted.
"'Sleepy' is one of FOX's top-performing shows in Live+7 DVR playback, so people are watching (just not live). And creatively speaking, season 3 >>> season 2," the publication added.
With this, fans are anticipating the renewal of the show because it has shown some signs of improvement in terms of storylines.
Meanwhile, the upcoming 15th episode of "Sleepy Hollow" season 3 will see Abbie and Crane teaming up with their nemeses.
Here's a look at the show's synopsis for "Incommunicado."
"After a supernatural event takes the Witnesses by surprise, both Crane and Abbie are forced to work alongside their most hated foes yet. Meanwhile, Jenny and Joe struggle to salvage their relationship, as they continue to battle their own internal demons in the all-new 'Incommunicado' episode of 'Sleepy Hollow,'" the synopsis read.
In other news, the previous episode of "Sleepy Hollow" season 3 has caused fans of the show to react negatively about "The Wildworm Monster."
One fan @Virginia wrote, "Generally disappointing. I guess I'm spoiled from season 1 & 2, but I expect better from Sleepy Hollow."
Another fan @Deb wrote, "What happened to Team Witness working together? Abbie and Crane were together 3 minutes in the episode and Crane was maybe in 10 mins max."
