Novak Djokovic will become the best tennis player of all time because he's sent by God. This is a statement Srdjan Djokovic delivered to define the greatness of his son.

Srdjan, the father of the no.1 ranked men's singles player in the world, has no doubts in his mind that his son will accomplish something unparallel in tennis before he hangs up his racket for good. Djokovic's father claimed that greatness was written all over him ever since he chose a career as a tennis player.

"I have been saying it since he entered tennis. Surely he will be one of the best sportsmen ever. All of this it's because he was sent from God. As a family, we tried to make God's wish come true. He can win other 10 Grand Slams," Srdjan stressed.

Already with 11 Grand Slam titles around his belt, Djokovic needs seven more major titles to surpass Federer's 17 Grand Slams, and in the process, take the crown as the greatest tennis player of all time. And his father's prediction of him winning 10 more titles, he would leave no doubt that he is tennis' chosen one.

At 28-years old, there's no doubt Djokovic has a lot of time to break such record. He has been men's tennis most dominant player in the last four to five years, winning 10 of the last 21 Grand Slam tournaments.

On the other hand, Djokovic cautioned everybody that it's way too early to consider as the best tennis player of all time, as there's still a lot of work and obstacles he needs to hurdle for him to claim that title.

"No, no. Not yet," Djokovic in an interview with the Los Angeles Times. "I do believe in myself and my abilities and I'm very proud of what I have achieved so far in my career. But I still think it's too early to talk about being the best ever.

Djokovic advanced to the third round of Indian Wells Open after beating Bjorn Fratangelo 2-6, 6-1, 6-2.
