Reeling squad Crystal Palace FC (9-14-6, 33 points) will try to snap a 12-game winless slide as they host current league leaders and probable 2015-2016 Premier League season champions Leicester City FC (18-3-9, 63 points) at the Selhurst Park on March 19th, Saturday.
Crystal Palace is coming off a 1-2 loss versus middling team Liverpool FC on March 6th also at their home stadium of Selhurst Park, as reported by SkySports.
The Eagles failed to take advantage of going against a 10-man Reds squad and then allowed Belgian striker Christian Benteke to snatch the win and three points away from them with a goal for Liverpool during stoppage time.
The defeat was Palace's fourth in their last six outings with their last win in the domestic top flight coming from way back in December of last year against Stoke City.
With that, Alan Pardew's squad is now settling at the 15th spot in the league table, precariously eight points away from the bottom-three relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Leicester City held firm their grasp in the league's top spot with a tough 1-0 victory over the now Rafael Benitez-led Newcastle United at the King Power Stadium on Monday, as per BBC Sport.
Japanese striker Shinji Okazaki scored the lone goal of the match at the 25th minute for Claudio Ranieri's side to hand former Real Madrid manager Benitez his first loss as the Magpies head coach.
The bottom-three squad actually had the chance to take the lead earlier at the fourth minute but Spanish striker Ayoze Perez had his shot swerving wide off the post.
It was the second consecutive victory for the Foxes after the surprising 2-2 draw with West Brom earlier in the month. It was also the fourth straight unbeaten match for Leicester who looks primed for their first ever English top flight title.
The predicted result is a 3-1 win for Leicester City as they move closer to the 2016 Premier League title.
