The top two teams at the end of the season will directly qualify in next season's UEFA Champions League group stage while the third-placed club will qualify in the playoff round of the said European continental competition.

Roma is currently at the third spot of the league table and is on an eight-game winning run after they defeated lowly club Udinese Calcio, 2-1, at the Dacia Arena last Sunday, as reported by ESPN.

Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko opened the scoring for Luciano Spalletti's side at the 14th minute as I Giallorossi kept the one-point lead until the halftime break.

La Maggica then doubled their lead at the 74th minute via a short range shot from defensive midfielder Alessandro Florenzi as they close in to completing their 14th consecutive unbeaten game.

Udinese managed to score a consolation goal five minutes before the full time whistle courtesy of a right-footed center box shot from midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan escaped with a 2-1 victory over middling team Bologna FC at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza also last Saturday, as per Goal.

The match started with both teams unable to find each other's net, making the game scoreless until the final 18 minutes.

Internazionale suddenly caught up with the scoring, netting two quick goals at the 72nd and 76th minutes courtesy of winger Ivan Perisic and full back Danilo D'Ambrosio to build a 2-0 lead.

Bologna forward Franco Brienza put his team on the board right at the stroke of full time to avoid an embarrassing shut out for the visitors.

The predicted result is a close 2-1 win for Roma over Inter Milan.
