The March update for the Xbox One and Windows 10 Xbox update is now out for all users. The home console has two big features that fans will enjoy.
The newest update for the Xbox One and Windows 10 was first tried out by the Preview Program members earlier this month, and now, everyone can enjoy it, according to Gamespot. For the console owners, Xbox One has two new big features that include the 16 player party chat and the introduction of a store, where customers can buy backwards-compatible Xbox 360 games.
Microsoft said that the introduction of a store, where users can easily buy backwards-compatible Xbox 360 games, was one of the top requests by Xbox fans. Before this update, users had to buy the games from Xbox.com. Now, the new update lets them search, select and purchase games via store easily.
The home console had a party chat limit of eight users when it was launched in November 2013. Since the feature has been very popular with the community, Microsoft is now enabling 16-person parties across both the Xbox One and the Xbox app.
Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb wrote on his official blog a few more features of the March update. The features for the update was announced earlier this month, and there were a few more that were added since the preview launch.
The first new feature is the improved thumbstick precision for the Xbox Elite wireless controller which is priced at $150. Hyrb explained that the development team has created a new method to calculate the position of the thumbsticks, which enabled the thumbstick response to be in line to what the fans were expecting.
Another new feature is the new page for the Xbox Accessories app on Windows 10 PC that shows users the details of the current firmware version, battery status and other details about the controllers. The Xbox One console has this feature already.
The March update also introduced the option to include Party Chat in Twitch broadcasts. Microsoft added that if users are broadcasting from their consoles and in a party, they can include their chat audio. Other members can decline this option and still be able to chat but they will not be heard on the broadcast.
