It is reportedly rumored that Apple's new iPhone 2017 will have a new design that will revamp its lineup. New features like wireless charging and a new display is also rumored to be included.

Rumor has it that on 2017, Apple will be launching a new iPhone unit with a glass casing, 9TO5Mac reported. KGI Securities Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has issued a new note claiming that the smartphone company will be changing its 2017 lineup for its iPhone.

The new 2017 iPhone will have a new AMOLED display, said Kuo. He believes that the company is still deciding on choosing between glass, plastic and ceramic casing for the new smartphone unit. He does speculate that they will ultimately choose glass because the plastic version will not offer a thin and light design, while ceramic version's tolerance will not be easy to control.

Also in Kuo's new note is that the form of the display and body of the 2017 smartphone unit will be curved. The body of the phone will have a glass front and back with metal sides, which he said will have a new design with a better grip.

Another feature that was included in the analyst's note was the wireless charging for the new smartphone but the specifics were not clear. It also said that it will have additional biometric recognitions like the facial recognition technology. It was earlier rumored that the company is developing a long-range wireless charging technology for the new 2017 smartphone but the new KGI note did not mention it.

The Apple analyst has also discussed two options for the smartphone company's 2017 lineup but it depends on the supply of the AMOLED displays, according to MacRumors. If there are enough supplies, then Apple will likely release an LCD-based smartphone unit with a 4.7 inch in size and paired with the new AMOLED smartphone unit with 5.8 inch in size for the larger alternative. If the supplies are less, then he believes that the 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch LCD iPhones will be released and the 5.8 inch AMOLED model to be released later.
