Ken Chu has finally admitted that he is now a married man. The singer, actor was promoting a new mainland variety show "Burning Calories," when he joked that he has starred in the reality TV show as he now needs money for his family.

"Mainly, its because I need the money, if not, my family can't have meals," Asian Pop News quoted the actor as saying.

Chu is  set to appear on the show wherein he has to follow the coach Han Geng as a student to take up a challenge, titled "Burning Calories in 100 Days." The actor was replying to a query from a fan who was apparently puzzled as to why the 37-year-old has decided to appear in the reality show.

On further quizzing that whether he was already married, Chu replied jokingly by saying "sort of." The actor almost confirmed his marriage when he declared that once he will have time, he will hold the wedding banquet too.

It was rumored from past a few weeks that the former boy band idol has secretly married to Chinese star Wenwen Han. The pic of the pair vacationing in Thailand also added fuel to the speculation that the two has actually tied the knot and were actually on a honeymoon.

Meanwhile, Chu's representative continues to deny the reports clarifying that he and Han do intend to get married, but are still in the process of applying for marriage permit. Other reports stated that the Taiwanese actor  has already filed his marriage license to marry Han, but the procedure might take a while due to their different nationalities.

The couple is yet to choose a final wedding date, Apple Daily Taiwan reported. The pair's relationship came to light last year when the two were spotted holding hands in the public.

Chu's manager also hinted towards the pair's impending marriage by saying that the celeb couple the celebrity couple is eyeing to hold the wedding ceremony and banquet both in Taiwan and China.

Earlier, Chu was linked to several other women such as actress Kelly Lin and famous Chinese star Li Bing Bing.  He was also rumored to have had a passing fling with television host Mai Sato and Jiang Xin Yu.
