Perennial powerhouse squad Manchester United FC (14-8-8, 50 points) will try to snag the final English top flight Champions League berth as they clash with middling squad Everton FC (9-9-11, 38 points) at the Old Trafford on April 3rd, Sunday as the 2015-2016 Premier League season slowly draws to a close.

Manchester United is currently at the sixth spot of the domestic first division's league table, tied on points with fifth-placed West Ham United and only a point away from fourth-running rival Manchester City.

The holder of the league table's fourth spot gains the right to qualify in the playoff round of next season's Champions League competitions and it is something the Red Devils would at least want to accomplish to appease team officials and fans of their current disappointing campaign.

Speculations abound that manager Louis van Gaal will be replaced by former Chelsea champion coach Jose Mourinho at the end of the season if the team will not be able to qualify for Europe's most prestigious club continental tournament.

United is still fighting off its inconsistency late in the season and is coming off a close 1-0 victory over City on March 20th at the Etihad during their most recent Premier League game, via BBC Sport.

Teenage striker Marcus Rashford continues to surprise as he scored the lone goal of the contest right at the 16th minute before both teams went goalless for the rest of the way.

It was the 18-year-old's third goal in only four appearances in the domestic league this season as van Gaal persists on using him up front for the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, Everton was blanked by third-placed team Arsenal, 2-0, at their home field of Goodison Park on Match 19th, as reported by SkySports.

Forward Danny Welbeck opened the scoring at the seventh for the Gunners while striker Alex Iwobi scored his team's second three minutes before the halftime break to hand the Toffees their second straight loss and third defeat in their last four outings.

The predicted result is another tough 1-0 win for Manchester United.
