"Fifty Shades Darker" stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are reportedly more excited to appear in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel than the franchise's first installment.

According to The Stir, fans of the franchise are also like the lead stars because they, too, are more excited to see Dornan and Johnson reprise their roles as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

First of all, Johnson herself said that fans should be excited for the upcoming film because they have so much in store for them.

Additionally, "Fifty Shades Darker" is more of a thriller, and not just a love story. Not to mention, the second installment is much darker than the first film.

Meanwhile, another reason why everyone is excited for "Fifty Shades Darker" is because it will feature a slew of new cast members and characters.

If "Fifty Shades of Grey" focused mostly on Christian and Anastasia, "Fifty Shades Darker" will feature Mrs. Robinson (Kim Basinger), Leila Williams (Bella Heathcote) and Jack Hyde (Eric Johnson).

Mrs. Robinson happens to be the elderly woman who introduced Christian into the world of BDSM. Leila is Christian's ex-girlfriend and former submissive, and Jack happens to be Christian's biggest nemesis.

Also, "Fifty Shades Darker" is expected to feature raunchier sex scenes between Christian and Anastasia. Fans should know though that Dornan and Johnson will not have a full frontal scene contrary to rumors.

Likely, Christian and Anastasia are also expected to get to know each other better in the film. As such, fans should await the scenes where the two will have their quarrels and issues. In the end, they will certainly be able to patch them up.

In other news, the cast of "Fifty Shades Darker" are currently filming their scenes in Vancouver, Canada. Photos from the set of the hit franchise have been leaked online.

It was also revealed that Dornan and Johnson already filmed their scenes with some of their new cast members, namely, Heathcote and Johnson.

As of late, photos of Basinger from the set of "FSD" have not yet been released online.

"Fifty Shades Darker" will premiere in theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017.
