Something big is about to unfold in "One Piece" chapter 822 as author Eiichiro Oda confirmed there will be a detailed explanation on what's happening in the New World in the next issue of Weekly Shonen Jump in a leaked scan of the magazine.
Last chapter, Jack attempted to kill the gigantic Elephant, Zunisha by firing explosives on its legs. Alarmed by the tremors, Momonosuke and Luffy heard a voice that only the two of them can hear. Turns out, it was Zunisha's voice and the Elephant is only allowed to attack if instructed by someone from the Kozuki clan. Hence, Momonosuke gave him the permission to attack.
Zunisha then launched its trunk against Jack's fleet, annihilating them in one blow. When the dust has settled, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi remarked that the same thing happened to Roger and Oden when they first arrived at Zou. Now, Luffy and Law's group are about to go their separate ways to accomplish their respective missions.
Law's group, along with Inuarashi and the other half of the Straw Hat crew, will search for Whitebeard crew's first division commander, Marco and ask for his help in their fight against Hundred Beast Kaido. Meanwhile, Luffy will go with Pekoms to rescue Sanji from Big Mom. The chapter ended with Scratchmen Apoo reporting Jack's disappearance to Kaido.
It would be interesting to see what Zunisha's crime might actually be, as stated in One Piece Wikia. It is possible that the Elephant wronged someone influential in the past, a Celestial Dragon perhaps, thus being sentenced to walk the ocean for the rest of its life.
Also, fans over at Oro Jackson discussed the possible events in the next chapter. User slazer77 stated that Luffy will be accompanied by Pedro and Carrot as they owe Sanji a lot. Luffy agrees and they set sail along with Pekoms. Meanwhile, Zoro and Law decide to rescue Jack, who is probably unconscious and drowning. They said that it would be smart to have Kaido's top henchman tied up by sea prism stone and they might be able to use him as leverage against Kaido.
Meanwhile, the whole cake island is busy preparing Sanji's wedding. Notable characters said to be present in the event is Jimbei, who is planning to help Sanji should something go wrong, as well as Jewelry Bonney.
