Ahead of the rumored MacBook Pro and Air 2016 launch via Apple's WWDC in June, the 2015 MacBook Airs - specifically the 11-inch and 13-inch variants - went on sale and ready to ship for as low as $749. And the killer deals somehow indicate that the MacBook 2016 release date is indeed approaching.

The exclusive MacBook promo, which runs only for six days, is a collaboration between Apple Insider and B&H Photo and Videos. Up for grabs are the 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air that were issued last year plus the 2013 iMac with 21.5-inch screen. All items offered will be delivered free of charge and Apple Insider noted that buyers outside of New York will enjoy tax-free purchase.

An option is available to include any of the Mac buys with Apple Care protection but shoppers need to take note that it would mean additional cost, starting at $159.

As mentioned, the MacBook Air 2015 can be ordered with mere cash damage of $749 and buyers will soon receive the 11-inch version that is powered by 1.6GHz processor with 4GB of RAM. The laptop comes with 128GB of internal memory.

But if the preference is for the 13-inch MacBook Air, the sticker price is as low as $869 with the same specifications detailed above. For Apple fans looking to score the desktop setting, the iMac HD tempts with a $949 price tag.

Apple Insider said that the Mac sale will expire April 12 or until supply lasts so shoppers need to make the buy decision pretty quick.

But if the choice is to hold off for a bit more then it is because of being convinced that the MacBook deals point to the imminent release of the 2016 upgrades, which according to reports would represent the consolidated builds of the MacBook Pro and Air. The latest rumors from Asia suggest that Apple is building scaled up versions of the 12-inch MacBook 2015.

The upcoming devices will sport 13-inch and 15-inch screens with the same build and design of the smaller MacBook, including the finish, which translates to buyers getting to pick a Gold Mac or even a Rose Gold edition.

Analysts have been saying that the latest batch of Apple ultraportable laptops will get unboxed before the end of Q2 2016. That should mean the MacBook 2016 release date (fusing the Pro and Air models) will happen within or immediately after the 2016 WWDC in June.
