Those who are hoping for "Red Dead Redemption" in Xbox One backward compatibility may still have to wait for an official confirmation by Microsoft. Despite its appearance on the console several times, it is still not included in the list.
The game's fans detected the game on Xbox console earlier this year, only to find out later it was just for testing. Microsoft tests all Xbox 360 games to make sure the titles would run smoothly but due to some error, the games being tested accidentally became available, such as what happened to the Rockstar title, Express UK reported.
Recently, new photos of "Red Dead Redemption" appeared again on Xbox One hence, fans believed it will soon be announced to be on backward compatibility. However, Xbox programmer Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson explained the appearance was not an indicator or a leak that it will come to BC. He said the latest console dashboard allows all Xbox 360 games to upper in game hubs. Hyrb apologized for the confusion and promised to give information for upcoming releases, said Daily Star.
Xbox feedback page allows fans to air what games they want to be included in the backward compatibility. Six Call of Duty titles were among the games with the highest backing but so far, only one has been confirmed, that is, "Call of Duty: Black Ops." Other games are coming, such as, "Modern Warfare" and its second version, which reportedly will arrive later this year to the backward compatibility library.
Meanwhile, Gold selection games for April include "Saints Row IV" and "Dead Space" as BC titles, which were added to the list on March 30. They can be downloaded by all Gold subscribers.
The backward compatibility library has more than 150 titles now, and is still growing, since Microsoft is adding at least two games monthly. It is unfortunate that there is no confirmation for "Read Dead Redemption" coming to Xbox One for now, but there are available games that fans can already enjoy while waiting for possible announcements at E3 2016 in June.
