If reports are anything to go by, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will come with the IP68 water resistance and will sport an iris scanner. Rumors are also doing the rounds that the phablet will be released in July this year.

According to a report from SamMobile, the smartphone will be able to withstand water submersion to one and a half meters depth for 30 minutes.

Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is expected to have an iris scanning camera for an additional layer of security.

Some of the other features of the Samsung device include Android N operating system, 6GB of RAM and a 5.8-inch QHD screen.

The phablet is expected to have a 4,000mAh battery. Rumors are also doing the rounds that the device will have its own phablet dock that turns it into a tiny hybrid notebook.

There are speculations that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 could come two months before the release of the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7. Several reports suggest that the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 will be released in September this year.

Meanwhile, the price of Galaxy Note 5 has been discounted by $150 on Walmart. The retailer is running a promotional deal that lets consumers buy an on-contract Note 5 through Verizon, Sprint or AT&T with a discount of $150.

The offer, which is valid till June 30, 2016, can be availed at the retail stores of Walmart only. In addition, the prices of Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 have been discounted by $150 on Walmart.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 was released in August 2015 and sports a 5.70-inch touchscreen display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, Digital Trends reported.

The Samsung phablet is powered by Exynos 7420 processor and has 4GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has 32GB of internal storage that users cannot expand.

Furthermore, it sports a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and a 16-megapixel primary camera on the back. The device has a 3000mAh non removable battery and weighs 171 grams.

Connectivity options of the Note 5 include Wi-Fi, 4G, GPS, NFC and Bluetooth. Sensors on the phablet include proximity sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer and ambient light sensor.
