Palermo has been winless in their last ten matches as they dropped to the 18th spot of the league table, dangerously a candidate for demotion to the Serie B next season. They are currently tied on points with Carpi, but their inferior goal differential statistic made them fall to the bottom three squads.

The Eagles were crushed by middling team Chievo, 1-3, at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi last Sunday as they lost their fourth game in their last six outings, via SkySports.

Chievo defender Fabrizio Cacciatore scored the opening goal of the contest right at the sixth minute which Rosanero quickly responded to with a strike from forward Alberto Gilardino at the 28th.

After coming out of the first half tied with Gialloblu, Palermo's defense went sour in the second period, allowing midfielders Nicola Rigoni and Valter Birsa to score one goal apiece, at the 53rd and 74th minutes respectively, to hand the visitors another loss in their dismal season.

Meanwhile, Lazio lost their Rome derby to AS Roma in a lopsided way, 1-4, at the Stadio Olimpico also last Sunday, as reported by ESPN.

I Biancocelesti only scored once, courtesy of a Marco Parolo goal at the 75th minute which cut Roma's lead to 2-1.

Four different I Giallorossi players scored in the match, namely Stephan El Shaarawy, Edin Dzeko, Alessandro Florenzi, and Diego Perotti at the 15th, 64th, 83rd, and 87th minutes respectively to complete the team's massive four-goal haul.

It was the fifth winless effort of head coach Simone Inzaghi's squad in their last six matches which dropped them to the eighth spot of the current league table, 21 points behind their cross-city rivals and the last Champions League berth for next season.

The predicted result is a 3-1 win for Lazio.
