A Mashable senior tech correspondent shared 64-bit GeekBench results showing the new MacBook is 15 to 18 percent faster in chipset performance than the 2015 model. It earned 2,894 and 5,845 single- and multi-core scores while the previous generation 1.2GHz model has 2,437 and 5,049.

"MacBook is the thinnest and lightest Mac we have ever made and it's our vision for the future of the notebook," SVP of Worldwide Marketing Philip Schiller stated in Apple's Press Info. "Customers are going to love this update to MacBook, with the latest processors, faster graphics, faster flash storage, longer battery life and a beautiful rose gold finish."

The 2016 MacBook features an all-metal unibody, 12-inch Retina display, Force Touch trackpad, full-size keyboard and a USB-C port  in a 13.10-mm thin body that weighs only 2 pounds. It comes in gold, space gray, silver and rose gold aluminum finishes. Running the notebook is the latest OS X El Capitan.

In its internals, the device has Intel's sixth generation dual-core Core M chipsets with speeds of up to 3.1GHz, a new Intel HD Graphics 515 that delivers up to 25 percent faster graphics performance and a faster 1866 MHz memory.

The 2016 MacBook can last up to 10 hours with a full charge, thanks to the 41.4-watt-hours lithium polymer battery. The original 2015 12-inch MacBook can last up to 9 hours with its 39.7-watt-hour battery. The new MacBook can give 10 hours of wireless browsing, 11 hours of iTunes film playback and 30 days standby time.

Apple's MacBook is fanless, so it delivers a silent performance. It is designed to be wireless and is equipped with the most recent wireless tech like the 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 which can be used to stream content to an Apple TV. While MacBook fans are excited with the new notebook that is powered by the faster Skylake processors, some were disappointed that it still has only one USB-C port and keeps the 480p camera. It does not have a DDR4 RAM or Thunderbolt 3 yet, MacRumors reported.
