Just when fans thought that Sergeant Adrian Pimento can now live his life in peace with Rosa Diaz, two more members of the Nine-Nine were added to crime lord Jimmy "The Butcher" Figgis' to-kill list in Jake Peralta and Raymond Holt.
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" Season 3 finale came to a close on April 19, Tuesday. Fans are now eager to know if Peralta and team was able to stop Bob Anderson, a former colleague of captain Holt who turned out to be one of Figgis' accomplices.
In the episode, Holt accidentally left his valuables inside the room where he and his formerly trusted friend, Bob Anderson were guarding a comatose accomplice of Figgis. Upon entering the room, he saw Anderson strangling the man, who died before he can even do something about it.
Anderson then took Holt as a hostage and brought him to the roof of the hospital. Fortunately, the captain was able to leave markers for his team to follow. Successful in doing so, his team was able to arrest Anderson and later on, he finally spilled the beans.
As the team celebrated their victory, Peralta received a call from Figgus and The Butcher said they will be dead soon. Hence, Holt and Peralta were forced to live in witness protection program and guise themselves as Greg and Larry.
The episode delivered its usual style of comedy, AV club stated in its episode review. However, the review did not go without any criticisms. The episode was once again suspect for the "barely there" subplot, this time with Charles Boyle and Amy Santiago coming back to Brooklyn.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that the show will have a fourth season, Cinema Blend reported. FOX believes that the sitcom has one of the biggest upsides despite being a bit under the radar due to its timeslot being changed.
The show boasts a powerful cast of Andy Samberg, Terry Crews, and Joe Lo Truglio and they make up for one of the most likeable ensemble on TV. Moreover, Andre Braugher exceled in his role as Captain Holt, and Melissa Fumero surprised everyone with her role as Amy Santiago considering it was her first time in a sitcom.
For the next season, it would be interesting to see if Diaz and Pemento will actually live a happy ending like they almost did in episode 20's preview below.
