The latest reports about "Star Wars: Episode 8" indicate that not only will the looks of the characters be changing, but also will the Jedi have a change of their wardrobe. In particular, Luke Skywalker reportedly will do away with the usual Jedi robes.

According to Making Star Wars, a little checkup of costumes from "Star Wars: Episode 8" film set reveals that Skywalker could be ditching the Jedi negligees for something more "Sleek." A brief look at the last part of "Star Wars: The force Awakens" disclosed that Skywalker had returned from a homespun version of the old-style Jedi clothing. His new look was something totally different from the basic uniform of the Rebel alliance.

As noticed from the seventh episode, Skywalker eschewed the Jedi brown clothing for an all-black attire. Now, it seems that, in "Star Wars episode 8," Skywalker will be abandoning the rustic robes for good. Making Star Wars described his forthcoming appearance the same as the one he had during the "Return of the Jedi" episode.

According to iDigital Times, the fresh costume details for Skywalker in "Star Wars: Episode 8" perfectly go hand in hand with the latest leaks of a more polished "Star Wars," within the rich upper territories of the Galactic core. Also, they evoke a more action-oriented character than what would have been expected.

In "Star Wars: Episode 8," Skywalker could be taking a role that is less inclined on training Rey and new Jedi generation, and one that will put him in action at the center of the Galactic struggle. Reports also indicate that his presence will still remain a huge factor in Episode 8.

One interesting and new drift for the next installation is that it will pick up on where "The Force Awakens" ended. It will then exhibit a more different description than what the past episodes showcased. "Star Wars" screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan spoke about director Rian's vision for "Star Wars: Episode 8" and described it to Slash Film as "some weird thing" that would take the saga into new realms.

This means that fans can expect a very different film for "Star Wars: Episode 8" when it finally gets released on Dec. 15, 2017.
