Leicester City was momentarily tripped in their current championship campaign with a 2-2 draw versus contending squad West Ham United also at their home field of King Power Stadium last Sunday, as per SkySports.

This season's number two goalscorer Jamie Vardy opened the scoring at the 18th minute of the match but he was then sent off at the 56th minute after getting booked with a second yellow card for diving.

West Ham took advantage of a 10-man Foxes side late in the second half by scoring twice inside the final six minutes of the match, courtesy of forward Andy Carroll and defender Aaron Cresswell at the 84th and 86th minutes.

It looked like a huge upset win for the Hammers as the full time whistle blew, but Leicester's other striker, Argentine Leonardo Ulloa, netted one five minutes into stoppage time to salvage the draw and a share of the point in the overall standings for head coach Claudio Ranieri's squad.

The tie narrowed the gap between the Foxes and second-running team Tottenham Hotspur to five points as the latter won their own fixture in the same matchday.

Meanwhile, Swansea City was crushed by bottom three club Newcastle United, 0-3, at the St. James' Park last Saturday, as reported by BBC Sport.

Defender Jamaal Lascelles, midfielder Moussa Sissoko, and winger Andros Townsend scored a goal each in the lopsided victory, handing the Swans their third winless effort in their last six outings.

Swansea is now at the 14th spot in the league table, 10 points above the bottom three relegation zone with only four games left in the current season.

The predicted result is a close 2-1 decision for Leicester City.
