Release date of the Google Nexus 2016 appears to be on the horizon as the current models continue to be packaged with irresistible deals. The LG Nexus 5X over at Amazon now sells for only $335 while the Huawei Nexus 6P comes with a battery pack courtesy of Newegg.

BGR pointed to a glorious black Nexus 5X with 32GB of internal memory displayed on Amazon for an ultra-affordable $334.49 under the giant online retailer's Prime shipping. That means delivery will be fast and totally free of charge.

The package that the 5X is will get users a mid-range handset with near-upscale specifications and features. The display boasts of a 5.2-inch screen in 1080p resolution with pixel density of 423ppi. Under the hood of the LG-made device is a very capable Snapdragon 808 chip that gets ample support from 2GB of RAM.

The camera combo is 12MP on rear and 5MP on front - the whole system laced with powerful shooting capabilities, among them laser autofocus and dual-LED flash. And there's the rear-located fingerprint sensor that makes the Nexus 5X more than worthy to compete with the flagships coming from Apple and Samsung.

But if the fancy is for a more premium phone then the Nexus 6P from Huawei will not disappoint. Android Central spotted the device at Newegg selling for $499, not exactly cheap, but with an extra battery pack - a Fremo C510 11000mAh juicer for free. The giveaway is a value of $20 that translates to additional savings.

"The battery pack itself is quite the catch with an LCD display that shows just how much charge is available to top-up your devices when mobile," the report added.

And getting the 6P is a huge step up from the 5x thanks to the following specs - a 5.7-inch AMOLED display in 1140 x 2560 screen resolution with 518ppi, the combination of SD 820 and 3GB of RAM, shooting prowess of 12MP on rear and 8MP on front and 32GB of basic storage space.

Both the Nexus 5X and 6P are even made beautiful by the latest and Pure Android Marshmallow version that will be quickly updated to Android N once the final cut becomes available.

It should be noted though that Android N coming out would mean the unboxing of the next Nexus. That likely will happen within the Google I/O 2016 that will start May 18, which should be followed immediately by the Nexus 2016 release date.
