Chievo was nipped by middling team Atalanta BC, 0-1, at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia last Sunday for the team's first loss in its last six outings, as reported by Forza Italian Football.

Italian forward Marco Borriello scored the lone goal for La Dea at the 55th minute of the match before Argentine midfielder Alejandro Gomez was sent off at the 75th for violent conduct.

Head coach Rolando Maran's boys were not able to take advantage of the 10-man Atalanta side in the last 15 minutes of the game as they came out without a goal.

The loss dropped Chievo to eighth place in the current league table, four points behind seventh-placed squad Sassuolo. The team is also currently five points below AC Milan who holds the final Europa League qualifying slot with only three games left in their campaign this season.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina was overwhelmed by defending champions and current league leaders Juventus FC, 1-2, at their home field of Stadio Artemio Franchi also last Sunday, as per Goal.

Juventus' Croatian forward Mario Mandzukic netted the opening goal of the contest at the 39th minute as the five straight Scudetto winners took the early lead in the match.

It took a long while before Viola found the equalizer as Mandzukic's compatriot, striker Nikola Kalinic, netted a right-footed shot from outside the box for head coach Paulo Sousa's side at the 81st.

However, Juve grabbed the lead again immediately at the 83rd with a close range shot from Spanish forward Alvaro Morata, which proved to be the winner of the game.

The loss was the second straight for the Lilies and their fifth winless performance in their last six matches as they dropped to fifth place in the current league table, five points behind fourth-running team Inter Milan.

The predicted result is a 2-0 bounce back victory for Fiorentina.
