The Fiore guild alliance is slowly turning the tides as Spriggan 12 members continue to go down one after another. However, the ones that are left are said to be leagues better than the ones taken out.
Last chapter, everybody in Hargeon stepped up to overpower Neinhart's Hystoria magic. Gray and Leon were able to defeat the ghost of their mentor Ur, Melody and Juvia united to defeat Zancrow and Keyes, Laxus defeated Hades and Wendy defeated Ezel.
As the scene shifts back to Jellal's team, Neinhart continued to taunt the heavily wounded Erza, infuriating Jellal. The leader of Crime Sorciere unleashed a series of powerful attacks against Neinhart but the Spriggan 12 member summoned back Simon to distract Jellal. However, Kagura intervened and slashed the ghost of his brother.
With his spell ready, Jellal unleashes his ultimate attack, "Grand Chariot" and it took out his opponent in a single hit. Meanwhile, as members of Fairy Tail repair their base, the captured Brandish informed everyone that they should brace themselves against the most powerful woman in Spriggan 12, Irene Balserion, who is also said to be more powerful than August.
Now, fans over Manga Helpers believe Irene will face Erza since their epithet are somewhat identical. Jellal gave Erza her surname Scarlet because of her hair color while Irene is known as the Scarlet Despair. In fact, some fans link both characters as blood relatives, Irene being Erza's mother.
Moreover, Irene's clothing hints that she has the same magic power as Erza which is Re-Equip. However, with the state Erza is in right now, it is very hard to think that she will still be the one to face the strongest Spriggan 12 member. Since the start of the invasion, she has faced two already in Ajeel and Neinhart and it would be a bit far-fetched if she manage to face or even defeat Irene.
Hence, some fans over at Reddit believe it is time for Mirajane to step up and show why she is considered as someone who rivals Elsa in terms of magic prowess. It would be interesting to see if she still have more powerful transformations up her sleeve.
