While most of his family members stood by Josh Duggar’s side throughout the entire scandal, his sisters Jinger Duggar and Jessa Duggar Seewald admitted that they still had a hard time accepting the fact that their brother had a sex addiction.

In the latest episode of "Jill & Jessa: Counting On," the Duggar sisters talked about what they truly felt about their older brother, Josh. Jinger shared that everything felt "unreal," adding that up to this day, she still cannot believe that Josh will be capable of doing what he did. She explained that while they still loved him, they still cannot help but feel pain towards the abuse.

Jessa also shared that they all cried quite a bit when they heard about Josh. She shared that it was particularly hard for her, as she came to his defense a couple of times. Jessa revealed that she got quite upset at Josh for hiding several things from the family.

"It was really difficult for me to just be like, 'I stood up here, I spoke out for him,' and yet there were some things he was hiding and wasn't being honest about. It was very emotional through those months after that, just working through all that."

In June of 2015, Josh admitted to molesting four of his sisters and a babysitter, being addicted to pornography and cheating on his wife Anna Duggar through the Ashley Madison website. Shortly after, Josh voluntarily checked himself into a faith-based rehabilitation center.

Jessa believed that her being pregnant with son Spurgeon helped them take their mind off the scandal. In spite of that happened, the reality star believed that all of the problems they experienced only brought the Duggar family closer than ever and much stronger than before.

Her sister Jana Duggar agreed with her statement, adding that the anticipation for the birth of baby Spurgeon helped them look at the brighter side of things.

"I think Jessa being pregnant helped us, just to be encouraged that even in some of the hardest times of your life there still can be joy in those moments, and in this case it was new life coming into the world," she said.

"Jill & Jessa: Counting On" airs Tuesdays on TLC.
