Finally, WWE's latest Pay-Per-View, "Payback" ended on a high note as Roman Reigns successfully defended his WWE Heavyweight title against crowd favorite, AJ Styles. As WWE Payback concluded, there were plenty of shocking moments which was highlighted by the tag-team match between Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady vs. The Vaudevillains. The match ended in no contest as Amore ended up suffering a concussion after a failed stunt, Wrestlezone reported.

Fortunately, Amore is no longer in danger as he has been discharged from the hospital. However, he would not be able to participate in future Main Events soon until WWE gives him the go signal.

Next match was Charlotte versus Natalya for the Diva's title. Probably the most controversial fight of the night, referee Charles Robinson called the match early despite Natalya not showing any signs of surrender. Apparently, this was a reference to the "Montreal Screwjob" that happened 20 years ago and it is believed that this was due to Bret Hart being present to the event.

Meanwhile, The Miz retains his Intercontinental title against the Powerhouse Cesaro. Also, Dolph Ziggler was victorious against newcomer, Baron Corbin. Another one of the highly heated match during the PPV was between Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose, which the latter won.

Next up was Kalisto versus Ryback for the US title match as the former was able to retain his title over the monstrous wrestler. Labeled as the best match of the night, Kevin Owens and Zami Zayn gave the audience something worth remembering after everyone was shocked with the Amore accident. Lastly, Reigns was able to capitalize against Styles.

In other news, reports indicate that The Architect may be back in action soon. However, he will not be making an appearance on the May 2 episode of RAW happening on St. Louis, Bleacher Report reported. In three weeks, "Xtreme Rules" will be up and it would be interesting to see if Reigns' former colleague will once again take something of importance from him.
