As the name implies, this speaker will come in blue. The customized blue color was created by a combination of human and robot hands.

One of the features that owners of this limited edition speaker will enjoy is having a special jazz station of their own, in which, will feature the jazz music of Don Was, Robert Glasper, Terence Blanchard and many more jazz artists.

Sonos do offer two regular jazz channels to its customers and these stations could also be accessed through iPhone and iPad using an app called TuneIn Radio.

Sonos announced that they only made 4,100 of these blue speakers and these limited edition speakers will cost around $250 USD on its release.

It has been more than a year when Sonos first release the Play: 1 Speaker, according to Engadget.  The limited edition Blue Note wireless speaker is a clear departure from the usual black and white color that has been the trademark of Sonos. While it is usual for other regular brands to sport new colors in their product line, Sonos never deviated from its color schemes until now.

One report suggests that the Sonos wireless speakers are viewed by many as an accent piece in the home.  Accent pieces must have colors that will enable it to blend in the background rather than stand out and make itself out of place.

It is said that robots were used in such a way that each speaker will have slightly different hues of blue.  The exclusive station will be have constant new songs to make sure that the owners enjoy having the Blue Note Play: 1 as an accent piece and as a unique wireless speaker that offers the best jazz songs available.
