With their ongoing three-game winning run, Roma is firmly planted at the third spot of the league table after winless performances from fourth and fifth-placed clubs Inter Milan and Fiorentina in the previous matchday.

I Giallorossi will still look to extend their streak to four games even as they are already secured of a Champions League berth for next season. The team is only two points behind Napoli and could still overtake Partenopei with two games left in the current term.

Roma is coming off a tight 3-2 win over Genoa CFC at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Monday, as reported by ESPN.

Two quick goals from both sides made it an early 1-1 count as Roma striker Mohamed Salah scored at the sixth minute while Genoa midfielder Panagiotis Tachtsidis leveled it just seven minutes later.

Il Grifone grabbed the lead after the restart via a right-footed shot from center box by forward Leonardo Pavoletti off an assist by teammate Thomas Rincon.

Head coach Luciano Spalletti's boys will not be denied, though, as they netted the final two goals of the contest at the 77th and 87th minutes, courtesy of team captain Francesco Totti and striker Stephan El Shaarawy, to steal the three points away from the hosts.

Meanwhile, Chievo settled to a 0-0 draw with fifth-running team Fiorentina last Saturday at their home ground of Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi in Verona for their second consecutive winless performance, as per Forza Italian Football.

Mussi Volanti is now at the ninth spot of the league table, 11 points behind Viola and the last Europa League berth for next season.

While head coach Rolando Maran's side will not qualify in any European competitions next season, they are safe from demotion to Serie B as the team is 14 points adrift of the bottom three relegation area.

The predicted result is a 2-1 decision for Roma.
