The MacBook Pro 2016 release date is likely to happen within or right after the annual Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) that kicks off June 13, indicating that the big day for MacBook fans is near. But one more reminder that the 2016 Mac refresh is just around the corner is the underway 12-inch MacBook fire sales that sliced off a big chunk of the original tag, leaving the cash damage to only $964.

In a new report, Apple Insider pointed to ongoing promo deals involving the 2015 MacBook on Best Buy, B&H and Adorama but it is the latter that offers the best bang for the buck. The retailer has dramatically reduced the MacBook price mark to $964, which by far is the lowest price ever for the last year's 12-inch Apple laptop, the report added.

The package comes in Silver and Space Gray finishes and is even more compelling with included bundles of a USB hub, a USB adapter and an external DVD drive. Buyers will be treated with free shipping is integral part of the deal and if the delivery address is outside of New York or New Jersey, sales tax will be imposed.

But Apple Insider also reminded that shoppers need hurry up as 12-inch MacBook stocks on Adorama appear no too many. Supplies could dry up quick.

If indeed the older MacBook becomes scarce too soon, Mac fans can instead jump to the latest build as B&H sells the Rose Gold with a $100 discount. The asking price for the shiny and new 12-inch MacBook 2016 is down to $1199 and shipping will commence as soon next week at no cost for buyers.

Or Apple fans looking for the latest and greatest laptop from the tech giant can simply wait out for the MacBook Pro 2016, which likely will appear as early as June if rumors will prove correct that the device will roll out within or following the June 2016 WWDC.

If speculations on the feature upgrades are to be believed, this year's MacBook Pro will be Apple's ultimate ultraportable boasting of an Intel Skylake chip for muscle car-like mobile computer processing, an AMD graphic engine and overall redesign that was inspired by the 12-inch MacBook.

On release date, the MacBook Pro 2016 is powered by OS X 10.12, rumored to be renamed as MacOS, and will hit store shelves in 13-inch and 15-inch screen sizes.
