Google Translate completed a decade of translating services last month. The latest, Google just introduced a tap button to make translations possible across all the Android apps.

It has been 10 years since Google Translate was launched and it has evolved considerably since then. In the latest update, Google gave its translation app a free pass to offer its services across everything on Android platform, Android headlines reported.

The Google Translate encompasses a total 103 languages and now users will be able to take benefit from it in many ways. For instance, messaging apps like Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger can use it to directly translate a language without sharing the unknown words or sentence to Google Translate externally.

Translating had never been simpler as a quick "Tap to Translate" button has made it. Whenever a user taps on the button, the translate app will activate displaying a text pop up.

The "Tap to Translate" button is not always visible, it only shows up when a text appears in another language. Users will select the text and the button will pop up in the corner. This allows the Android users to translate unknown language without leaving the current Android app.

Since Translate app also downloads languages for the offline app, a lot of apps that do not use the internet can also take benefit from it. This together with Google Translate's Word Lens makes the app the top translation app on Android and iOS.

The Word Lens feature enables the app to read and translate text written on a paper or wall using smartphone's camera. Reportedly, Word Lens is soon going to integrate Chinese as the 29th language.

Google Translate also features an SMS tab, where all the inbox messages are automatically translated without the need to tap the button to translate. These features are the reason why the app is already being used by over 500 million people around the world.

The latest update also enabled offline mode for iOS platform, Telegraph reported. So now iPhone users can also use Google's live translation services with Word Lens. Google's official youtube channel introduces the new tap feature in the following video.
