Evernote is now integrating Google Drive for users who wish to use them on the web or in the Android app. They will now be able to easily share and send links instead of having to copy paste them.

Users can now link their Google Drive accounts with the Evernote app or web client. Once linked, they will be able to access their file links to documents and other media files.

One reason why Evernote decided the integration is that more than 50 percent of their users have registered Google accounts. In order to make things better for the majority, they decided to integrate the accounts with their services.

Google Keep is one of the app's competitors but the company said that it will not hurt their image or user base. Users who would like to take notes on their smartphones can use both if they wish to.

Evernote users can now add files from their Google Drive accounts into their notes, CIO Today reported. The embedded will also be synchronized automatically so that the user would not have to update it every time the file changes.

Group projects will be made easier with the new integration. Members can edit one note at the same time as it will also be synced automatically with every change that happens.

Users would not need to go out of the app to see their Google Drive files and links, Firstpost reported. This makes things easier as users can just browse their files inside the app.

Evernote CEO Chris O'Neill said in an official blog: " Once people see how well Evernote and Google Drive work together, they'll use both products intuitively. For Evernote enthusiasts, this is a natural progression. Google is organizing the world's information, and now Google Drive and Evernote are helping you do just that with your information."

The company also said that millions of notes created in their app had already contained links copied and pasted from Google Drive. It just makes sense to integrate the cloud storage with their app.

Evernote and Google Drive now has an edge over OneNote, One Drive and Dropbox because of their partnership. More users will just be using one app instead of several others.
