MacBook Pro 2015 deals

That the MacBook Pro 2016 refresh is happening soon was again hinted by the new round of gadget promo deals courtesy of B&H and Apple Insider. Both the 13-inch and 15-inch 2015 MacBook Pros are up for grabs, attempting to lure in Mac fans with sticker prices that are shaved off $200.

The 13-inch version that offers the highest savings come with 2.9GHz processing chip, 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD. The unit is tagged $1599 or discounted by $200. Two other units are on the table too with B&H knocking off $150 from the original price.

As for the 15-inch MacBook Pro released last year, the asking price is down to $1799, less $200, and buyers will get to enjoy an Apple-crafted laptop powered by a 2.2GHz processor with 16GB of RAM. The built-in storage is 256GB.

B&H, according to Apple Insider, will deliver the orders with speed (most should get the package in one business day, depending on the destination) with the assurance of free sales tax provided the delivery address is outside of New York.

Siri for Mac

Another indicator that the new MacBooks are coming out soon is the fresh tease of OS X 10.12 in its final cut, which according to MacRumors will include Siri, Apple's mobile digital assistant first introduced on the iPhone's iOS platform. The report claimed that Siri for Mac is all but confirmed with two solid proofs - a dock icon and a menu bar icon.

Siri's dock icon the Mac is a circular button with colorful wave design while the menu bar icon is a simple black and white that spells out the bot's four-word name.

MacRumors said that Siri for Mac is off by default on the next version of OS X and when activated, MacBook users will be able to call up the app hands-free. Just like in the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, Siri for Mac will respond to the "Hey Siri" voice command.

Apple is believed to launch Siri for Mac with OS X 10.12, which according to reports will be renamed MacOS, using its 2016 WWDC that will start June 13. The feature is likely part too of the MacBook Pro 2016 unboxing, the release date of which could happen right after the annual event.
