Until now, investigators are still searching for answers after the late Soul Diva Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was found lying unconscious in her tub on Jan. 31. A family insider has revealed to CNN that Brown has injuries, which have not been explained yet.
Nick Gordon, Brown's boyfriend, is now the primary focus of the ongoing investigations as to why the 21-year-old coma patient was found face down in her bathtub.
Brown's romantic relationship with Gordon has always been a subject to family and public scrutiny. Right after Whitney Houston's death in 2012, the "now in coma" daughter revealed that she is sharing a romantic relationship with the young man her mother took in 10 years earlier. Gordon has lived with Houston and Brown since he was 12 years old although official adoption was never mentioned, a fact emphasized by Brown in defense of their romance.
Marion Houston, the "I Will Always Love You" singer's sister-in-law, was not convinced by this rationale. When she was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey, she said, "the relationship did not sit right with me. I have always evaluated them as the brother-and-sister type."
Even before the tragic event, Brown's family seemed determined to keep themselves and the coma patient away from Gordon. Marion, who is married to Whitney's brother, is Brown's trust fund executor and the person who obtained a restraining order against Gordon in April 2013.
Despite the wedding rings that Brown and Gordon are wearing, Brown's lawyer told ABC News, "Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon."
