The WWE once again made another bold move as "Smackdown" and "Raw" will now be completely independent and will feature their own set of gimmicks and superstars. It would be interesting to see how this major shake-up would work out.

Brian Campbell and Tim Fiorvanti of ESPN discussed the potential pros and cons of the move and they believe it is a very good decision as this would make "Smackdown" relevant again. It is worth noting that the show is taped but now that it will be going live similar to RAW, it becomes un-spoilable and exciting for fans.

This will also be a good breeding ground for future WWE Superstars, who will carry the company for the years to come. Fiorvanti added that WWE can take a page from Paul Heyman's book during the "Smackdown Six" era.

"If it's well-done -- like the Paul Heyman-led 'Smackdown Six' era that helped launch the careers of guys like Edge, Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero into the stratosphere -- then that's great," he stated in the discussion.

When it comes to who should be the number one pick of the upcoming draft, Campbell believes Seth Rollins is the man. His combination of mic and wrestling skills makes him an ideal face for either brand and fans are anticipating his return after a seven month hiatus due to injury. Fiorvanti, however, went with Kevin Owens as his charisma and uniqueness among other superstars makes him a suitable franchise cornerstone.

They also discussed the things WWE should avoid and also pointed out the mistakes of the previous drafts. The most important being the WWE World Heavyweight champion being able to cross both promotions. Also, the company should avoid making brand specific PPVs and either the US and Intercontinental titles should be transferred to the other brand.

In other news, fans are wary that new crowd favorite AJ Styles will be buried once the new system kicks in, Cage Sides Seats reported. This comes from Styles losing to Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens for the World title, making him insignificant. However, the rumor was immediately debunked by WWE and announced that they still have huge plans for Styles.
