He was rushed to the Kwong Wah Hospital in Yau Ma Tei where he underwent treatment for injuries on the head, arms and ear. While he was lying conscious on a stretcher, K-Chek said, “It appears my [right] arm is fractured. My head is swollen and I feel dizzy. I also feel pain in my waist area.”

Although officers from the Mong Kok Police District searched the area for his attackers, they have not made any arrest. According to the injured singer, who was discharged before daybreak, over 20 men rushed at him. Some were lugging folding chairs and large torches.

Despite what happened to K-Chek, latest data indicate that in 2015, overall crime incidents in Hong Kong decreased to 66,439 in 2015 from 67,740 in 20154. Assault, which is what the local police considers the crime committed against the singer, also declined to 4,124 last year from 4,287 the previous year.
