"Dancing with the Stars" grand winner Nyle DiMarco reveals how he knew he was going to win the Mirror Ball trophy.

On Tuesday night, ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" found its champion. According to People, deaf contestant and "America's Next Top Model" winner Nyle DiMarco became the king of ballroom and took home received the Mirror Ball trophy. Together with dancing partner Peta Murgatroyd, they defeated Ginger Zee and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy and even UFC fighter Paige VanZant and her partner Mark Ballas were no match.

In an interview, the dancing champ said that he still could not believe that he won. He said, "I don't think it really has hit me yet. It happened so fast, and I'm sure it'll hit me soon enough. But at the same time, I feel really honored."

Then, the 27-year-old model and deaf activist reportedly revealed that he already had an intuition of his victory at week 8. After delivering a heart-stopping pasodoble performance with his dancing partner he got the strong feeling that the mirror trophy was for him. It was the same time when the music was silence for a few bars to make the audience understand what DiMarco experiences while dancing.

DiMarco recalls how that episode hit him hard and made him feel that emerging victorious was a big possibility as he saw how the audience were connecting with him. He added, "It wasn't about the dancing itself, it was about me connecting to the audience."

Meanwhile, CNN reports that Many fans were amazed at how good DiMarco is at dancing despite his inability to hear. He and his partner were fan-favorites throughout Season 22 of the dancing reality show.

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba gave the dancing champion a touching message in sign language, She then vocally relayed to co-host Tom Bergeron that she thanked DiMarco for showing the audience his beautiful heart through dancing. Everyone reportedly seemed moved by Inaba's message.

He may not be the first deaf contestant to participate in "Dancing with the Stars" but he is the only deaf contestant to win the trophy. Actress Marlee Matlin appeared in season 6 but she did not make it to the finals.
