Spain will resume their preparation for the Euro 2016 when they take on South Korea on Wednesday at the Red Bull Arena in Wals-Siezenheim, Austria. The Spain vs. South Korea international friendly match will be the first meeting between the two national squads since May 2012.

The Spaniards are coming off a masterful 3-1 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina in another international friendly match on Saturday. The win against Bosnia-Herzegovina was Spain's first victory this year after settling for a 1-1 and 0-0 draw against Italy and Romania, respectively, in March.

Pedro, who scored his 17th international goal during the victory, is looking forward to their upcoming game against the Asian powerhouse. The 28-year-old will captain the reigning European champions anew and will look to score another strike for Spain.

"Being captain and scoring was very special, it will be tough to relive this sort of situation," Pedro told reporters via Daily Mail's match preview. "It was amazing, but I look to score much more."

Spain are trying to reach their peak form heading into their Euro 2016 campaign in France, where they are favored to defend their title. After their upcoming friendly against South Korea, the 2010 World Cup champions will face Georgia on Tuesday, which will be their final warm-up match for the European Championships.

Meanwhile, South Korea are determined to prove their doubters wrong in their first match against a European squad since 2014 FIFA World Cup. Their last match against a European foe was a forgettable one, as they took a 1-0 loss to Belgium, which ended their hopes of advancing past the first round of the 2014 World Cup.

South Korea will also face Czech Republic on Sunday as part of their preparation for the final round of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification. South Korea manager Uli Stielike vowed that they will not be "sparring partners" for Spain and Czech Republic in their upcoming friendlies.

"We are not going there to be their sparring partners," Stielike told reporters via ESPN. "It's important to keep our philosophy of football and mindset. Spain and the Czech Republic could show better techniques than us on the pitch, but we should not be cowered before the match."
