With the way things have ended in "The Flash" Season 2 finale, avid comic fans believe the "Flashpoint" storyline is inbound. In fact, actor Carlos Valdes, who plays the role of Cisco Ramon, hinted that the production staff may indeed push through with the said storyline.

"I think there's every chance of a Flashpoint paradox," Valdez told Blastr. He also said that some are having some reservations with the plot. Nevertheless, he believes that wherever they go from there, it will be another unique experience for fans and the team will try to remain loyal to the comics as much as possible.

The Flashpoint storyline had a movie adaptation in July 2013 and it started with Barry Allen waking up without his powers but her mom is alive in this universe. However, this also caused other superheroes lives to be affected like Thomas Wayne becoming Batman instead of his son, Bruce who was the one that got shot during that tragic night. Also, Superman was not able to realize his potential as he was detained in a secluded area for a very long time.

The worst outcome was when Wonder Woman and Aquaman engaged in a huge war, which ended up with major casualties. Fans should not worry about this though as the appearance of household heroes like Batman and Superman is highly unlikely.

In other news, Cavanagh expressed his dismay on Zach Snyder for not giving Gustin the role of The Flash in the big screens.

"Here's what I'll say about him not being The Flash," Cavanagh told Quirky Byte. "The first thing is that for Zack Snyder to say 'that's not really the universe that we're building, it's excruciating for an actor."

He added that if DCU wanted the long-hair and slacker type Ezra Miller is, Gustin can easily portray that role. Here is the interview with Valdes on the possibility of a "Flashpoint Paradox" plot.
